What is an RMT?
A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a licensed healthcare professional who focuses on evaluating and manually treating the body's soft tissues and joints to relieve pain, restore mobility, and improve physical function. A general "massage therapist" might only be interested in relaxation or spa services. An RMT, goes through 2200 hours of medical training and need to pass board exams to be registered with a regulatory body. Because of their clinical background, they can use targeted techniques like trigger point therapy and myofascial release to treat complicated conditions like sports injuries, chronic pain, and rehabilitation after surgery.
